We’re launching a new angel investor group: The Venture Starters Angels Club — a curated, informal community of investors who meet on Zoom to hear from 1–3 standout startup founders each session.

Membership Guidelines (Subject to Refinement)
We're still finalizing the details, but here's our current thinking for joining the Venture Starters Angels Club:
1. You Must Be an Accredited Investor
In accordance with SEC Regulation D, members must self-certify as an accredited investor by meeting at least one of the following criteria:
- Annual income over $200K individually (or $300K jointly) in each of the past two years
- Net worth exceeding $1M, excluding your primary residence
- Holding a Series 7, 65, or 82 license (per 2020 SEC update)
2. You Must Attend at Least 3 Zoom Meetings Per Year
We ask members to commit to a minimum of three meetings annually to encourage active engagement and keep our community vibrant and connected.
3. You Must Follow a Simple Code of Conduct
To ensure a professional, respectful environment, all members agree to:
- Treat founders and fellow investors with respect
- Keep pitch materials and startup details confidential (no NDAs required, but trust is essential)
- Avoid soliciting other members for unrelated ventures during meetings
4. You Have Invested in at Least One Startup — or Plan To
To maintain alignment with the club’s mission, members should have prior startup investment experience or a clear intent to invest.
A small percentage of serious first-time investors may be admitted.
5. You Will Sign a Basic Participation Agreement
This simple agreement covers:
- Acknowledgement of personal responsibility for your investments
- No liability
- Consent for media use (photos or mentions in club promotions)
